I've been a darren aronofsky fan for years. To hear that this movie will not be playing in Canada is offensive to say the least. The very people who fund and substantiate the industry should not suffer the tribulations of corporate politics.

It is a remarkable film - something not seen before. The way it handled such a sensitive subject will appeal to all types of audiences. The direction of Darren Aronofsky was great - the story of a lifetime was compressed in a 2 hour movie and the pace was remarkable. The acting was really good and the main protagonists brought out the characters, as if they were real. The actors moved to the background and the screen characters took the center stage. The underlying pain that lingered throughout the movie was touchy and the ending should really touch all. This movie should do really good at the Oscars ..... a perfect 10 from me. I would recommend lovers of thoughtful and serious movies to see

I can't believe this movie was released in Toronto for the Film Festival but now won't play in any theatres in Canada....way to treat the country that opened your movie. I was interested in seeing this but not so much now if that's how it works.
