Definately not a movie for everyone but you cant deny Natalie Portman's unbelievable talent; the range of emotion she portrayed was one of her best performances.

A must see movie! Natalie Portman is mesmerizing in her role as a prima ballerina, who collapses under the strain of becoming the star. Black Swan takes us through her mental plight as she competes with a newcomer for the starring role in Swan Lake.

One of the best I have seen in a long time. I really got into the story, it really had my mind going, trying to figure out what was going on, at all times. The mark of a great/good movie is when long after you have seen it you are still talking about it and want others to see it, beacuse it was that good.

If there was a choice to give this movie no stars, I would. The acting was terrible, the dialogue stilted and laughably bad and the dancing looked computer enhanced and/or generated half the time. I guess some people will enjoy it because of one "sexy" scene, but I thought it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and it should have been canned! In order for a "physcho thriller" to have real tension, the audience has to have some sympathy for at least one of the characters, but they were all card-board cut outs of characters, and did not seem like real people. Yes, it was dark, but that felt like a factor of lighting and not a factor of the characters' mentalities or the plot.
