What an amazing movie! The acting was fantastic. The directing was marvelous. The cinematography was superb. Natalie Portman really does deserve an Oscar nod, and should win. Although the movie is very dark for many, it does put on screen what is missing in a lot of mainstream films these days: QUALITY. This movie is the best thing out in theatres right now, so if you're looking for something that's going to captivate you, this is it.

Ingenious. Natalie Portman really captured the essence of the role. I did not know she could dance like that and be both angelical and evil at the same time. Good movie. Worth watching.

This movie is really great. Nathalie Portman shines in this as Nina, the 250% dedicated ballerina ready for anything thrown at her even if all is in her head. Dark movie, not what you'd expect but very good. I've seen it once, I'll see it again and I'll buy the DVD for sure.

Here the horror is psychological and emotional. Yet still impacts you with real "jump-in-your-seat" fright. I'm glad I did not see the trailer before I saw the film. I was expecting a story about an ambitious ballerina...so glad I got something much more complex and layered with lasting resonance.
It is an outstanding film in all aspects of craftsmanship and deserves its accolades. It is tightly p
