This movie was very disturbing - it really was not about a prima ballernia but more about a crazy mother who treated her grown adult daughter like she was 10 years old. How could she possibly handle the strain of becoming a star when her mental capacity and maturity was more like a 12 year old? Natalie's acting was excellent, along with all others but the movie is a lot deeper than ballet and needs to be portrayed as that so we can make a decision on seeing it or not.

The movie was hypnotizing. It was a journey that had me convinced and shocking in end and very beautiful costumes throughout the film. Natalie Portman was a perfect choice for role. What a superb performance by Mila Kunis.

Portman was breath-taking as a dancer. I was very proud to see how well they got the technique down for this movie. I was sure I thought I knew what was going to happen and then it just takes you to another place. Inside the mind of someone who is so set in her ways she would do anything to get what she wants, what she needs. AMAZING!!
