Went to movie thinking it would be action film, like 007'ish. The American is defiantly not a spy thriller, more like a spy toddler film. Had the makings of a good movie, but just didn't get there.

Usually enjoy anything George Clooney is in but in this one its a waste of time and hard earned money. Wanted to walk out during the film but gave it a chance. I am telling people save your money...do not even rent this when it comes out. I think George just wanted to work while playing where he lives right now..in Italy...good for him...not so good for his fans!!!!! Shame on you George. One good thing, every woman was wishing she was the prostitute...in certain scences..thanks for adding some passion..for your women fans...it was the best part of the movie..I as a woman will remember the American for that reason only...the rest I hope to forget!!! Not even one star..but do recommend this mo
