It is obvious that a lot of time went into prepping for this epic movie.
Bravo! to Sight and Sound! The movie was as powerful as Whitefield's voice and passion for Christ. He preached with boldness and deep love. It wasn't ego. It wasn't "just" fire. It was holy fire. It was pure love. It was spirit-filled. People felt it. It opened their hearts, because they felt God's love flowing through him. He was a man who lived love and truth. He took his passion for Jesus and spread it everywhere he went. His message had nothing to do with worldly gain or riches. He was truly heaven sent, and heavenly minded. He had a zeal to spread the truth, not corrupt it. He loved his dear friend Benjamin Franklin with the love of Jesus, and spoke the truth in love, as scripture instructs. He, and a few like him, are rare gems. That's one reason people want to see this movie over and over again. Yes, we may need more preachers like Whitefield, but we all need to BE more like Whitefield. May that truth pierce all of our hearts. May God bring lasting revival. Let's honor God, and Whitefield and the Christians who heard the call to tell this story and did the hard work to create excellence in the name of Jesus! Thank You Sight and Sound! Thank You ever actor and crew member! Thank You Jesus! This movie was living water poured out on a parched and weary land.

Great story. I liked how they moved the story through the timeline of history so well -- from childhood to death. Their friendship, their conversations, their disagreements. Several very poignant scenes. If Franklin did not convert in his old age, he certainly will have no excuse before God. I never knew that Whitefield was not only kicked out of the Anglican Church, but also out of England! He certainly set himself on fire with the truth and love of God. I don't know why entire churches don't make this movie a giant field trip. Same for home schoolers and private schools.

This movie was SO good! The actor that plays Whitefield was so anointed, and moved me to emotions that made me want to leap up and start praising God! He preached the truth of repentance and waking up from being dead, but with such love at the same time. It had to be the power of the Holy Spirit! LOVED IT!
