The beginning honestly felt like it was written by a rookie. The storyline dragged, a lot of the scenes felt forced, and some of the plot points were unnecessarily convoluted. The whole way he ends up at MJ’s party felt contrived, and the scene inside the house was just boring. There were too many scenes like that slow, poorly acted, with weak dialogue and pacing that just felt off.
I did like the second half much more. The story finally became more interesting, the pace picked up, and there were some really cool special effects and action sequences.
They also took quite a few liberties with reality that I guess we’re just supposed to overlook. For example, Spider-Man gets shot and is basically bleeding out, and the next thing you know, his buddy the guy who shot him is somehow bringing him through the hospital doors. Umm… I don’t think so.
If you’re into Marvel movies, it’s still worth seeing for the entertainment value, but it definitely wasn’t a “wow” for me. In the end, it felt like another typical formula movie entertaining enough, but predictable and nowhere near as good as it could have been.

It got interesting around half way through. I think I dozed off before that, even though there were so many fight scenes. I enjoyed parts of it and I'm not sorry I went, but most of the others were better in my opinion.

We used to go as a family to all the marvel movies, but the newer ones are coming out with ALOT of foul language all through the movie, I don't do it, and I certainly don't want my grandkids hearing it, so we won't be going to anymore marvel movies
