Terrific, I had a long drive from one corner of the city to the opposite side just to see this film in limited release, but would do it again in a heartbeat for such a rewarding experience.

The actor who plays the drummer is way too clean cut. He does things that drummers do not do.
1. He forgets his stickbag but has a drum key. No drummer I know has been in this predicament.
2. He wears socks-The short girly kind.
3. He is shy. Every drummer I have ever met is the social butterfly of the band. They are always fun to be around.
4. He owns an iron.
5. He doesn't have a roomate
6. His sticks look brand new even after beating the drums for hours on end.7. He uses flexible bandaids on his wounds. Every drummer I know either toughs it out or uses Duct tape.

Outstanding film in every way. Okay I love jazz and drums, so I'm biased - but if the drumming was poor, the acting bad, I'm more of a critic! The horns and reeds were professional in every way, a real experience for music lovers! J.K. will win the Oscar and should.
