Horrid writing, worse acting. A grade four student could have written and produced this better.
This had to be SONY, forcing a contractual obligation.
It could have been good.

As usual, Streep gives a stellar performance as an aging rock star who dumped her family to pursue her dream. The problem being, despite her formidable talent as an actress/singer, she's just a little too old to be very credible as Ricki. That said, I did enjoy the movie--mainly because I enjoy watching Meryl Streep work her magic on-screen.

So nice to see a non violent no terrible language movie. Just relax and enjoy rocker Meryl with excellent musician Rick Springfield. Great loud rock music. The chemistry between them was very good. Also Kevin Klein was perfect as her ex husband. It was sweet funny
Just a nice movie. Nothing heavy to bring you down

Don't miss seeing this movie!!! Meryl's real life daughter Maime plays her daughter in this movie. While Maime plays her part very well, her mom has some pretty big shoes to fill and I'm not sure she'll ever be able to. Meryl you've done it again! Superb performance.!!!
