There was no explanation why
George Clooney was building a gun. It was very slow, no action - I kept waiting for it to get better. No resolution in the end and it ended abruptly. I will never see a George Clooney movie again. I hae seen 3 and they hae all been bad.

There are movies for those who don't want to think but only to be distracted, and there are movies for those who who want to be challenged. The American is for the latter.

Very slow, drawn out scenes. Poor direction which tended to produce a very wooden performance from George Clooney. Some very able supporting roles which did not prevent the yawns. Another movie where a big name is used to draw in unsuspecting audiences. Don't waste your money on this one.
