This movie was the biggest disappointment in recent years...Robert Redford and Nick Nolte need to go back to acting school...script was horrible as well...

Was not at all what we expected. First time in a very long time we laughed out loud (as did everyone in the theater) ! ! My sides ached from laughing. Great movie - highly recommend it.

This movie was not what I expected.Nick Nolte was great, but Redford, not so much.Story line was weak, at best, and much that happened was just not realistic.

This is a movie that will mostly appeal to the over-50 crowd, with its clean, gentle humor, its gorgeous scenery, and the obvious pratfalls of getting old. I thought the actors did a good job, particularly Nolte, who plays the out-of-shape Katz. Actually, Nolte really did look like 30 miles of bad road--overtaxed and distinctly unhealthy, and I'm not sure all of it was makeup.

Very disappointing. Robert Redford's acting was very poor. Nick Nolte was his usual disgusting self. We knew that going to an R rated movie we would hear some bad language but this was ridiculous. I loved the book and so was disappointed that the story got lost in all of the juvenile banter between Nolte and Redford. We walked out, couldn't finish it.
