I love shakespeare and even though I found the acting ok I was expecting much more. I'm glad it was set in Scotland in a more realistic and rugged location and the direction and scenes took liberties to make you think more about the characters, but I really didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped.

Yawn. A mildly interesting story in high-school English class given bland life on the screen. I expect most were drawn to it with Michael starring (as was I), but sadly it seemed a waste of his talents. I hate it when people say "the book was better" but in this case it just might be true.
