Not bad, not good. This is a film that you sit through, giggle at times and wait in anticipation for something big to happen. The problem is that nothing big does happen, though the novel is a gripping series of events, the film is just a series of events. It had its merits and it made it's point but that's it and in my opinion its just doesn't have enough "oomf" to be worth watching if you've already read the novel.
