Surprised by the complaints about the violence, like what’d you expect, this is an Evil Dead movie, like the series is well known for being extremely viscous.

Realize what movie you're gonna go see.
It's gore, it''s disgusting. If that's not your cup of tea well, this movie is not for you.
It's a great add on to the crazy mythical adventure from the eighties. Too bad they didn't tie it into Jason sega/Friday the 13th movies.

I can't remember the last time I walked out of a movie before it ended, other than this one. The script was not written well, the acting was mediocre and there were many pointless scenes; much of it gross just to be gross. I thought a horror movie was supposed to be scary, but this one wasn't. There were a few "jump" scenes and the movie would spike the volume on some screechy sounds instead of being scary. But in my humble opinion, that is a poor substitute for good script writing. If you like gratuitous violence and bloody/gross scenes that don't really lend itself well to the overall story, then this one is for you.
