A Real Story that is good for people who really love a good story and thriller...Not for kids that are stuck in the movies that have to have action every second, but a real thriller movie that tells a story...

1. The movie is a character based flick so that is why the pacing is so slow.
2. It is okay. It is not 5 stars but the acting is solid so 3 stars is accurate.
3. I would prefer not so many characters be developed as this would allow the pacing to be faster. We really do not need to see Ruffulaos character's crumbling marriage and attendance at Yoga.
4. So it was mediocre but acting was solid.

If "To Live and Die in L.A." is 5 stars and "Heat" 4 stars, I'll go with 3 stars for "Crime 101". I expected better after reading all the reviews.
Certain elements of "Crime 101" feel stolen from "Heat". The Nick Nolte character is not too far from the John Voight character in "Heat".
The loner master thief living in the mostly empty home with the ocean view. Ready to run when necessary. Finding love when least expected. Only to have it get in the way of his criminal activities.
Halle Berry is still a very beautiful woman and was very good in this movie. Apart from one scene that felt written as a stereotype for a black woman.
An O.K. movie, but boring at times. The opening of the movie should have been cut out completely. The script could have been better.
