Señoritas Synopsis

Alejandra (María Serrano) lives with her mother in Bogotá, Colombia, and spends most of her nights drinking and dancing with her friends. Free-spirited and sexually promiscuous, she floats through a series of meaningless encounters with men, until a trip outside the city — and a seemingly innocuous game with her friends — brings her to the brink of a greater spiritual awareness and sexual consciousness.

  Canadian Connection: Colombian-born director Lina Rodriguez, who attended university in Toronto, received a grant from the Ontario Arts Council to make this film.
