Paths of Glory Synopsis
Kubrick's early masterpiece takes us to the French trenches of the Great War. Kirk Douglas plays a commanding officer who defends his troops in court after he is ordered to lead them on a near-impossible mission and they are tried for cowardice after being pinned in their own trenches. A bleak look at military justice and the chains of command, Paths of Glory stands as one of the great anti-war films of all time.
