Breaking the Waves Synopsis
Set in a community in Northern Scotland, Bess McNeil (Emily Watson) falls in love with an oil-rig worker, Jan (Stellan Skarsgård). When Jan has an accident that leaves him paralyzed from the neck down, he asks that she continue her sexual relations with another man, and return to him with the details.
