My Best Friend's Wedding (2016) Synopsis
In this Chinese remake of the hit Julia Robert’s movie of the same name, Ju Gia (Shu Qi) is a successful fashion editor who finally realizes that she holds romantic feelings towards her childhood best friend, Lin Ran (Feng Shaofeng). That is until one day, when she receives a surprising phone call from Lin, who has been studying in the U.K. as a journalist.
He tells Ju that he has fallen in love with a wealthy Chinese girl, and that he wants her to be his “best man” for their wedding...scheduled for later that week. As Ju sets out for London for the wedding, she is determined to win over Lin's love — before it’s too late.
