Omaha Synopsis

A grieving father (John Magaro) takes his two young children, Ella (Molly Belle Wright) and Charlie (Wyatt Solis), on a somber cross-country road trip following the death of their mother and the foreclosure of their home during the 2008 housing crisis. Presenting the journey as a chance for a fresh start, he shields them from the depth of his despair while quietly grappling with mounting financial and emotional burdens.

Along the way, moments of tenderness and fleeting hope contrast with an undercurrent of uncertainty. As the trip progresses, the children begin to sense that their father’s intentions may not be as hopeful as he suggests, leading to a poignant exploration of love, loss, and resilience.
